AWE Cohort 6 Graduation

Marian Mantey, the C.E.O of Koco D’Luv, recently celebrated a big win. She graduated from the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Cohort 6 which lasted for 13 weeks.

The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is a program that empowers women entrepreneurs around the world. AWE provides women with the skills and resources they need to grow successful businesses.

The Academy recently wrapped up its 6th cohort program, which ran from August 15th to November 16th. The program featured weekly sessions held on Thursdays and Saturdays from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

The program covered essential topics for women entrepreneurs, including business planning, marketing, finance, and legal aspects. Participants had the opportunity to learn from experienced facilitators and network with other entrepreneurs.

The graduation ceremony was honored by the presence of Her Excellency, Virginia Palmer, US Ambassador to Ghana, who expressed her enthusiasm for women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship in Ghana.

Marian A.M Gebara completed the DreamBuilder program on October 4, 2024.Without this program you cannot complete AWE.

DreamBuilder is a free, online program that teaches young women the skills they need to start and run their own businesses. The program is offered by Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University, and the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation.

Marian Akosua Manko Mantey Gebara is now a certified DreamBuilder and is well-prepared to pursue her entrepreneurial aspirations.

To mark the graduation, AWE held a special exhibition. Koco D’Luv was there, showcasing the delicious and healthy Koco Crunch plantain chips. These chips are fried, making them a much better choice for snacking.

Marian is excited to use what she learned from AWE to continue growing her business and bringing healthy snacks to people.
